چکیده
Background: Intracranial capillary hemangiomas are rare, particularly in adults, and diagnosis can be challenging. The literature lacks visualization of intracranial hemangioma growth over time. Here we document a de novo hemangioma, initially interpreted radiologically as glioma. Methods: We report case 64 year old male with history HIV, recent Lyme disease unconfirmed prior COVID-19 infection, who presented exhaustion confusion. Imaging demonstrated an intra-axial high T2/FLAIR signal lesion centred the subcortical white matter posterior right temporal lobe. There was faint enhancement, few mildly prominent vessels were seen along its anterior aspect. 2 years had not shown lesion. Stereotactic biopsy nondiagnostic. Craniotomy resection carried out. Results: Pathological examination immunohistochemistry returned hemangioma. review how this adds to proposed theories growth. Our patient’s co-morbidities support possible inflammation related triggers for symptomatic progression these uncommon lesions. Conclusions: This unusual documents radiological appearance It represents first time such has been visualized adult male.
